Dr. Sarah Yassami, MD, CCFP

Dr. Sarah Yassami is a graduate of the UBC Coastal Family Medicine Residency Program (2025), where she demonstrated strong leadership and advocacy for resident physicians throughout her training. Originally from Iran, she completed medical school there and practiced as a family physician for three years before moving to Canada.

Dr. Yassami practices full-scope family medicine with a patient-centered, evidence-based approach focused on preventive care, continuity of care, and long-term wellness. Her clinical interests include obesity management, postpartum care, infant and toddler care, childhood examinations, illness prevention, health promotion, and skin care.

Dr. Yassami is also passionate about medical education and teaching. She looks forward to supporting and mentoring future medical students and residents as part of her ongoing commitment to family medicine and lifelong learning.

Fluent in both English and Farsi, Dr. Yassami is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and compassionate environment where patients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout every stage of life.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Yassami loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking local trails, exploring the natural beauty of British Columbia, and traveling with her family whenever possible. She feels grateful to live and work in beautiful BC and to care for the community she now calls home.

Dr. Yassami practices at Park Medical Clinic in West Vancouver and is not currently accepting new patients.
